UDANCE

UDance is a 12-hour philanthropic dance marathon hosted at the University of Delaware, uniting the campus community in the fight against pediatric cancer. As the largest student-run philanthropy at UD, it has raised millions of dollars since its inception in 2007, directly benefiting The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. This foundation supports families of children battling cancer and funds critical research efforts to find cures.

The event is the culmination of year-round fundraising by student organizations, individuals, and the broader UD community. UDance is not just a single day—it’s a movement that inspires hope, celebrates strength, and fosters lasting connections between students and their B+ Heroes, children who are battling or have survived cancer. The event is a time for the community to come together, honor these Heroes, and feel the impact of their efforts.

Lambda Chi Alpha takes immense pride in supporting UDance and our B+ Hero, Ayden. Ayden has been a part of our UDance family for years, and his story of resilience continues to inspire us all. Participating in UDance allows our chapter to not only contribute to a worthy cause but also build a personal connection with the children and families we support.

From creative fundraising events to collective efforts within the fraternity, our involvement in UDance is a cornerstone of our commitment to philanthropy. It is a powerful reminder of the positive change that can come from working together as a community.
